A German internationally renowned plumbing fixtures manufacturer was struggling to keep up with customer service requests containing photos of broken products. Service reps had to manually match the photo to one of 43000+ products in the company's catalog.
Solution
Semantee deployed a custom cutting-edge computer vision solution using metric learning, trained on a dataset of just 1500 pictures, whereas typically, such solutions require tens of thousands. The neural network automatically matches photos taken by customers or service technicians to the right product, saving internal teams time and leading to faster service resolutions.
Results
The client's custom app enables technicians to upload a photo and the AI matches it against the product catalog, listing the correct SKU in 90%+ of the cases.
